NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal aspirants were left disappointed as the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) released an apparantely high Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2021 cut off making many candidates ineligible for the Rajaswa Lekhpal mains exam for UP Lekhpal vacancy 2022. Candidates have started campaigning on Twitter with the hashtag #JusticeforUPLekhpalStudents demanding reduction in PET cut-off.
PET exam is conducted by UPSSSC as an eligibility test for mains exam for 8,085 lekhpal posts in the UP government. According to the PET 2021 cut off, candidates need 62.96 percentile for appearing in mains exam for UP lekhpal recruitment 2022.
A Lekhpal aspirant tweeted, “Please reduce the cut off of PET for up lekhpal examination. It's Preliminary Eligibility Test not Preliminary Examination Test.”

Another aspirant said in a tweet, “Our system is fully corrupted. No one can listen to the students' voice that the exam is only qualified but they are treated as mains and merit is high. Why?”

A Twitter user said, “Kindly give chance to those aspirants who have scored atleast 50 marks in PET-2021. They all must get a chance to appear in UP LEKHPAL exam. This is very wrong happening with the aspirants. We need justice.”

A female aspirant wrote, “First UPSSSC didn’t follow the calendar. The exam which was supposed to be held in October is scheduled for June. It ruined the reservation system. Cut-off of girls is even higher than boys and cut-off for general, OBC, and EWS candidates is same.”

Ek to upsssc ne apna calendar follow nhi kia jo exam October me hona tha wo June me ho rha hai.
Reservation system poora kharab kia
Girls ki cutoff boys se bhi zada
General,obc,ews ki same cutoff.
“Lekhpal exam was taken 10 months late by upsssc but no benefit was given to the candidates, should the cut off not have been reduced, at least the students must have improved something in these 10 months,” said another aspirant in a tweet.

Listing down the demands, a UP Lekhpal aspirant tweeted, “We want justice.”
