The Kerala government has extended the KEAM 2026 counselling results and the deadline for students to upload their Class 12 mark lists until June 14 due to unresolved issues related to CBSE 12th results, Indian Express reported.

During a press conference, Kerala’s Higher Education Minister Roji M John announced that the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) has extended the deadline citing “uncertainty surrounding the CBSE Class 12 results ,” the report said.

“We have extended the deadline till June 14 for CBSE students to upload their mark lists, following concerns raised by students and parents. We can announce the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical ( KEAM 2026 ) results only after the uncertainty regarding the CBSE Class 12 results is resolved,” he said in the report.

CBSE Class 12 marks carry 50% weightage in KEAM 2026 admissions

The minister further said that the KEAM 2026 results for admission to engineering, architecture and medical programmes at government and private colleges in Kerala will not be withheld indefinitely as it would affect admissions to BTech institutions, the report added.

“We are trying to streamline the admission process. KEAM results should not adversely affect admissions in other colleges. We are ready to publish the results. The only issue is that CBSE students have not been able to upload their mark lists,” the minister added in the report.

The CBSE declared the CBSE Class 12 results on May 13 after which students alleged discrepancies in the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluation, including unchecked answers, incorrect marking and blurred answer scripts.

The KEAM 2026 rank list is prepared by assigning equal weightage of 50:50 to two components - the normalised score obtained in the entrance test, and the grades secured in the final year qualifying exam in Maths, Physics and Chemistry combined, the report said.

Furthermore, minister M John also stated that the government will provide a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 to all girl students in colleges across the state during the current academic year, PTI reported.
