Download NowNEW DELHI: The Maharashtra government has devised new measures to prevent irregularities such as cheating and paper leak in Class 10, 12 board exams. The decision comes after reports of alleged leak of Maharashtra Class 12 chemistry board exam surfaced. School education minister Varsha Gaikwad shared the new guidelines on board exams on social media.

“Some new measures have been devised to prevent irregularities in the State Board's E-10 and E-12 examinations. This information was given in the Legislative Council today. These measures are as follows,” Gaikwad tweeted.

Talking about another paper leak in Maharashtra HSC exams 2022, the education minister said, Yesterday, March 15, during Class 10 Marathi subject examination at Laxmibai Secondary and Higher Secondary School, preliminary inquiries into the irregularities at Paithan revealed that the headmaster, co-teachers or non-teaching staff were providing copies to the students. In this case, it has been decided to cancel the school board code and board recognition. I would like to say here that if such malpractice is found in other schools, they will also be severely punished.”

“I would like to reiterate, there has been no paper leak. The paper was found in the mobiles of late coming students after it had been distributed in class. The mischief seems to have happened in the 10 minutes given for reading the paper, strict action is being taken against this,” Gaikwad said about the alleged chemistry exam paper leak .
Students are the future of the country. Board exams are important for their future. Parents, schools, media, people's representatives and all the people should co-operate with the government to ensure that these exams are passed safely and students can face them fearlessly, she further said.
