NEW DELHI: Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a ‘100-day plan’ at an inter-departmental meeting for implementation of State Curriculum Framework (SCF) for the academic year 2025-2026.
Under the plan, the state education department will enforce Marathi language in all state schools. One school in each district (cluster of 8-10 schools) will be developed under the CM SHRI programme on the lines of PM SHRI. The model school will have till Class 10. One of its classrooms will be a 'smart classroom', the chief minister said while unveiling the plan.
The Aadhaar validity of all the students will be verified. The chief minister also said that the teacher recruitments, which are held up due to elections, will be fast-tracked.
In the inter-departmental meeting, Maharashtra education minister Dadaji Bhuse announced several other initiatives.
CBSE pattern, school ranking
Maharashtra, under the SCF, will adopt CBSE pattern with necessary changes according to the state's context. Schools will be ranked as per their quality and will use Corporate Social Responsibillity (CSR) funds to develop schools.
The state education minister Bhuse also urged other ministers and officials to adopt one school in their area.
The registration certificates for pre-schools will be issued based on their fulfilling of some minimum required norms and the certificates will be displayed prominently for the benefit of parents.
The chief minister also supported the cluster school plan of merging low-enrolment schools, calling it 'extremely important and essential”. Besides, he asked the education department to explain the benefits of moving to larger schools to those studying at smaller schools.
