MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025: 26,889 students grab MD, MS seats in round 1 allotment

Download nowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the seat allotment result for the first round of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling. A total of 26,889 candidates including 466 Non-Resident Indian (NRI) have been allotted seats in round of MCC NEET PG counselling 2025. MD general medicine remains the top course choice amongst the NEET PG 2025 toppers in the top 10 ranks. Among the top 20 rankers, some also chose MD radio-diagnosis, MD/MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology), and MS dermatology/skin and venereal diseases/venereology.
In case of any discrepancies in the MCC NEET PG round 1 provisional result 2025, candidates are advised to inform the committee by 12 noon tomorrow, November 22 through email. After the deadline, the seat allotment will be considered final.
“The candidates are further informed that the provisional result is only indicative in nature and subject to change. The candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat in the provisional result and the provisional result cannot be challenged before the court of law,” MCC said.
Moreover, students have been advised to approach the allotted medical college only after the declaration of final result and after downloading the allotment letter.
Aspirants were allowed to fill choices for round 1 counselling till November 21 as MCC further extended the deadline after adding 239 MD, MS seats. The authorities introduced a priority-based allotment system for NRIs and allowed first and second-degree relatives to apply. NRI applicants have been allocated seats as priority 1 or 2 with the first preference being given to the foreign candidates and children of NRIs.
