MHA permits opening of education book shops in new guidelines

NEW DELHI:
The Home Ministry has permitted the opening of education book shops for students by including it in the list of activities allowed to function under the consolidated revised guidelines, during the lockdown period. On April 21, the Centre issued fresh guidelines to all the states and Union Territories under which it has permitted these activities.
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the government has exempted additional agricultural and forestry items, shops of educational books for students and shops of electric fans from lockdown restrictions to fight COVID19.
It permitted education establishments including coaching centres to maintain the academic schedule through online teaching during the lockdown.
