NEET 2022 Analysis: Paper was 'easy to moderate', say experts

NEW DELHI: Aakash Byju's and Vidyamandir Classes have released their analysis for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 exam. According to Aakash Byju's NEET 2022 analysis , the exam was easy to moderate. The experts said that the physics and chemistry sections were on an easy to moderate difficulty level, while botany was on a moderate to difficult level and zoology was moderate.

Aakash Byju's said in their analysis that in the physics session, more questions were based on numericals, mildly less compared to the NEET 2021 exam. They said that comparatively tricky questions were asked in section B and chapter "Oscillations". While they considered the last year's physics section to be lengthy, NEET 2022 physics was not lengthy and could be easily completed on time. The physics portion was completely based on NCERT and no questions beyond NCERT were present, the analysis said. Most questions in the NEET 2022 chemistry sessions were based on NCERT statements, facts, and tables and were dominated by theory-based questions having only 11 numerical. Statements were drawn directly from NCERT without any changes, the analysis said. It further said that the assertion-reason type of questions in section A requires deep concept clarity to answer correctly.

Botany questions came only from NCERT textbooks with some of them being asked straightforward from NCERT textbooks. According to Aakash Byju's NEET 2022 analysis, the majority of botany questions in the NEET paper were factual, while some were concept-based questions. They also pointed out that two questions from the topic "Living World and Anatomy of flowering plants" are incorrect. The botany section was considered to be lengthy and time-consuming. NEET 2022 Zoology section was considered lengthy by Aakash Byju's with certain twisted questions that required precision and focus on the keywords. Some questions from Biomolecules and Biotechnology and its Applications were beyond the NCERT level. However, most questions were based on NCERT textbooks with Biotechnology chapters dominating with about eight questions.

Experts from the Vidyamandir Classes consider the NEET 2022 paper physics section to be a mixed type. According to their analysis, it is an easy section but with a higher number of calculations required for solving. There were straightforward questions too. The NEET 2022 chemistry section was rated good by Vidyamandir Classes experts. The analysis said that the questions came from all the chapters. It also said that the paper was competitive, and those who prepared well will be able to score good.

About Zoology, the analysis from Vidyamandir Classes said that the questions were basic level based on NCERT, with more statement and assertion-reason questions. The zoology section was rated to be on an easy to moderate level in terms of difficulty. Vidyamandir Classes NEET 2022 analysis considered 2-3 questions from the zoology section to be twisty and time-consuming. Questions came from most of the chapters in the syllabus, it said.
