Download EBookNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) on May 4, 2025. Candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2025 exam should be aware of the subject-wise weightage to plan their preparation effectively.
Medical aspirants seeking admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), and other undergraduate medical courses in India must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The NEET UG 2025 registration process is underway and the last date to fill out the application form is March 7, 2025. The NEET UG 2025 registration link is available on the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
The NEET question paper consists of 180 multiple-choice questions, each carrying four marks. The questions are based on the Class 11 and 12 syllabus, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
The weightage of biology in the NEET exam is highest among the three subjects. Biology will have 90 questions, contributing 50% of the total marks. The biology section is divided into two parts: botany and zoology, each containing 45 questions. Physics and chemistry will each have 45 questions.
