Download EBookNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it has been decided to conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 in pen-and-paper mode on a single day, and in a single shift. Starting from 2025-26 academic session, aspirants of BSc Nursing programme at Armed Forces medical hospitals will be required to qualify the medical entrance exam. The NEET 2025 exam registration date will be announced on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

NTA conducts the NEET exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and more, offered in medical and dental colleges across the country.
“As decided by the National Medical Commission (NMC), it is informed that the NEET (UG)-2025 shall be conducted in Pen and Paper mode (OMR based) in single day and single shift,” reads the latest NEET 2025 notification.
“MNS (Military Nursing Services aspirants seeking admission to BSc Nursing courses being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2025 are required to qualify for NEET (UG). The NEET (UG) score will be used for shortlisting for selection to the four-year BSc Nursing course,” the NTA added.
Recently, NTA advised the NEET UG 2025 aspirants to use their APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication during the NEET UG registration 2025.
NEET 2025: Syllabus, reforms
The NEET UG syllabus 2025 has been made available on the NEET 2025 official website. NMC has prepared the syllabus with no changes in NEET subject-wise topics .
An expert committee on NTA reforms suggested several changes in NEET UG including multi-stage test, multi-session exam, better allocation of test centres, computer-assisted pen-and-paper mode exam, digital transfer of question papers. The Ministry of Education formed a high-level committee last year following the widespread controversy over NEET paper leak, cancellation of NEET results, and conduct of re-test.
