NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: NTA calls viral video claiming paper leak fake, says test held successfully

Try NowThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has dismissed a video being circulated on social media on National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 paper leak, terming it “fake and misleading.” The NTA has also warned students against the fake video, stating that the NEET UG re-exam was conducted successfully under tight security and surveillance.
Claiming that there was no issue affecting the NEET UG 2026 re-examination process, the NTA said that attempts to spread misinformation with the intention of harming students will invite action.
“Manufacturing and deliberately circulating such misinformation to defraud or alarm students is a serious offence. NTA, with the support of I4C and law-enforcement agencies, is taking action against those responsible for originating this content,” NTA said in an official statement.

NTA warns students against misinformation
The testing agency conducted the re-NEET UG 2026 exam on June 21 in a single shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The pen-and-paper-based medical college entrance test was held for the second time in a month after the May 3 examination was cancelled due to paper leak allegations .
“We appeal to students, parents and the public to verify only through http://neet.nta.nic.in and official NTA handles, and not to amplify such material. Our 20 lakh+ aspirants deserve a calm and fair process,” NTA said.
According to the MBBS aspirants, the re-NEET UG 2026 question paper was moderate in difficulty. While Physics section was termed as the lengthiest and most difficult, Chemistry was moderate and Biology was easy, as per students’ reactions.
The NEET UG 2026 re-exam was held at 5,440 centres in 551 cities across the country and 14 abroad for admission to MBBS, BDS and AYUSH programmes at private, deemed, and government medical colleges.
The NTA is expected to issue the re-NEET UG 2026 provisional answer key between June 24 and 30, as per various media reports.
