Bihar, Rajasthan and Gujarat, also offer relatively lower MBBS fees with more affordable options for eligible NEET -qualified MBBS aspirants to many other states and union territories.

Every year over 20 lakh MBBS aspirants appear for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) exam for admission to MBBS, BDS and allied programmes at government as well as private medical colleges across the country.
According to the latest seat matrix released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), there are a total of 1,36,939 MBBS seats, including 63,296 government and 73,643 private seats.
However, candidates must note that this matrix does not cover the Institutes of National Importance (INI), All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS ), Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), and other medical colleges as they follow their own separate admission process.
