NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed the medical colleges to intimidate the MBBS course completion date to finalise the National Exit Test (NExt 2023) exam date. The commission had issued draft regulations last December for postgraduate, medical courses and license to practice medicine in India.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Medical Education of all states, the NMC said: “The National Exit Test (NExt) regulations are likely to be finalized shortly and would be placed before the NMC in the next meeting to be scheduled in June 2023.”
In order to finalize the date of NExT exam, the MBBS course completion date is required, the commission said. Therefore, it has requested all DMEs to inform the likely date of MBBS course completion at all medical colleges in their respective state and union territories.
