The institute has decided to provide an additional 15 minutes reading time from 2.15 pm to 2.30 pm. The decision was taken to enable students to read the question paper thoroughly before attempting the exam.
Directing all exam centres to implement the extra reading time, the NIOS said: “The objective behind this provision is to align NIOS learners with their counterparts from other school education boards, ensuring equal academic opportunities and facilitating a more conducive examination environment. NIOS believes this change will aid in reducing examination stress and enhancing the overall performance of the learners.”
NIOS Class 12 or senior secondary students will appear in Veda Adhyayan, early childhood care and education, employability skills and entrepreneurship exams. NIOS Class 10 students, on the other hand, will be taking Sanskrit paper today.
The NIOS board exams 2024 will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Students should carry the NIOS hall ticket and school ID for verification purposes. As per the schedule announced, the NIOS results for Classes 10 and 12 will be announced 7 weeks after the conclusion of exams.
The NIOS Class 10th, 12th mark-sheet-cum-certificate and migration-cum-transfer Certificate will be issued to the qualifying students through their respective Als. “In case of cancelled Als these documents will be sent to them by post at their residential addresses available at NIOS by the concerned Regional Centre,” it said.
