Delhi CM promised to provide free education for children, free coaching for IAS, medical and IIT, free foreign education for college students, free medical service.
NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday made five promises to the Scheduled Caste during his one-day visit to Punjab. He promised free education for children and free coaching for Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and medical for students.

According to the ANI report, the Delhi chief minister said in Hoshiarpur, “I have 5 promises for the people from Scheduled Caste. We will provide free education for children, free coaching for IAS, Medical and IIT, free foreign education for college students, free medical service, Rs 1000 for women above 18 years per month.”
On December 2, Arvind Kejriwal announced to provide high-quality free education to the children in Punjab government schools if his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) forms the government in the state.
As Punjab assembly elections are slated for early next year, both Delhi and Punjab governments have been scaling up their spat on the educational model of the state.
Taking a dig at Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Kejriwal today wrote on Twitter, “Channi ji, do you solve the issues by beating up the teachers like this? Some teachers are forced to sit on tanks in the freezing cold for weeks, some are being hit with sticks. If our government is formed, we will return the respect of all these teachers and solve all their issues.”
https://t.co/plF3obZjur

Earlier, Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia visited Punjab for a reality check to “expose” the claims made by Punjab education minister Pargat Singh on the education model.
Following this, Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu joined the sit-in protest of Delhi guest teachers demanding regularisation of their jobs outside Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.
He alleged that 45% teacher’s posts are vacant and Delhi schools are run by 22,000 guest teachers on daily wages with every 15 days renewal of contracts.
