QS to host free event in New Delhi to connect students with top universities, scholarships, MBA options, and expert guidance on overseas education
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) will hold its Study Abroad Master’s Fair in New Delhi on May 9, 2026, bringing together top international universities and students looking to pursue postgraduate studies overseas.
The event will run from 2 pm to 5:30 pm at Le Méridien, New Delhi, and is free for students. It aims to make the study abroad process easier by giving attendees a chance to speak directly with university representatives, understand admission requirements, and explore funding and career opportunities.
Students interested in studying abroad will be able to connect with universities from countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Singapore, and the Netherlands, among others.
Quacquarelli Symonds fair brings global universities
The Quacquarelli Symonds fair will feature several highly ranked institutions such as Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, the University of Melbourne, and the University of Sydney, along with others like the University of Warwick and Eindhoven University of Technology.
Apart from universities, organisations such as the British Council, Campus France, and University Living will also be present, offering students a more complete picture of studying abroad, from applications to accommodation. Attendees can also learn about funding options, including the QS ImpACT Scholarship worth $50,000.
Overall, the event is designed to give students practical, reliable information and access to experts, all in one place.
Quacquarelli Symonds MBA fair targets working professionals
Quacquarelli Symonds will also host an MBA fair from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at the same venue, aimed at professionals considering international business degrees.
This session will allow participants to interact directly with admissions teams from leading business schools and explore specialisations such as finance, marketing, business analytics, and supply chain management. The idea is to help professionals understand how an international MBA could boost their careers.
With both fairs scheduled on the same day, QS is trying to cater to a wide range of students, from fresh graduates to experienced professionals.
Rising demand for overseas education
Delhi is continuing to emerge as a major hub for students looking to study abroad, with interest growing consistently over the past few years. Data shared by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) shows that demand from the city has been rising at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.9% since 2022, and the number of students from Delhi studying overseas is expected to reach about 1.33 lakh by 2025. This growth reflects a clear shift towards globally recognised degrees, practical, industry-focused courses, and better career opportunities after graduation.
The trend is visible across the country as well. According to the latest QS Global Student Flows: India report, more than 80 lakh Indian students were enrolled in institutions abroad in 2024. Countries like the US, UK, and Canada remain the most popular choices, continuing to draw the largest share of Indian students. Overall, the number of Indians going overseas for higher education has been growing at an average rate of 11% between 2022 and 2025.
