Subscribe NowThe West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has extended the registration deadline for the WBSSC 1st State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025 recruitment exam. Candidates can register for WBSSC SLST 2026 on the official website, old.westbengalssc.com.
The SLST 2025 recruitment drive aims to fill 8,477 non-teaching positions across Group C and D posts. This includes 2,989 clerk vacancies and 5,488 Group D posts.
The WBSSC SLST 2025 selection process includes a written examination, followed by a skill or practical test and document verification.
For Group C, the written test includes 60 questions—15 each on general knowledge, current affairs, general English, and arithmetic. For Group D, the exam features 45 questions—15 each on general knowledge, current affairs, and arithmetic. There's no negative marking.

WBSSC SLST 2025: How to apply?
The steps to apply for WBSSC SLST 2025 are as follows.
- Visit the official website.
- Select the appropriate category and proceed with form filling.
- Fill in personal, educational and communication details.
- Upload required documents in the specified format.
- Submit the form and pay the application fee.
To apply for the WBSSC SLST 2025 recruitment drive, candidates applying for Group C and Group D posts are required to pay an application fee of Rs 400 for general, Other Backwards Class (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) categories have to pay Rs 150 as registration fee.
