Telangana board slashes syllabus of Classes 11, 12 by 30% for 2021-22 session: Report
TSBIE has reduced syllabus of first and second year of intermediate by 30%. New syllabus will be released on the official website soon.

NEW DELHI: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has reduced the syllabus of Classes 11 and 12 for every subject by 30 percent, The Hans India reported.

The board has taken this decision in view of the learning loss of students due to disruption of physical classes caused by COVID-19 pandemic, the report said.
TSBIE secretary Syed Omer Jaleel told The Hans India that all the information regarding 70 per cent syllabus that will be part of examinations and 30 percent reduced syllabus for the academic year 2021-22 will be separately displayed on the official site of TSBIE - tsbie.cgg.gov.in for students’ benefit.
TSBIE had reduced the syllabus last year as well, the report said.

Besides Telangana, other states have also reduced syllabus this year for relief of students. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has reduced the MP board syllabus for the academic year 2021-22 for Classes 9 to 12 students to cope up with the study loss during school closure because of COVID-19.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has reduced the 30-35 per cent syllabus of Class 10 for Madhyamik Pariksha 2022. The board has reduced the syllabus for seven subjects. This decision has been made as no physical classes were held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Haryana government reduced the HBSE 10th, 12th syllabus 2021-22 by 30 percent for the current academic year.
Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has further reduced Syllabus for ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) exams 2022. Even, CBSE has reduced the syllabus for Classes 10, 12 this year.
However, the Karnataka primary and education department has decided not to cut syllabus of schools for Classes 1 to 10 for this academic year.
B C Nagesh, Karnataka primary and secondary education minister, said that the decision was taken after consulting teachers and stakeholders.
