The TNEA 2026 random number list is generated using a computerised algorithm that assigns a unique random number to each candidate who completes the TNEA registration process.
These random numbers are used as a tie-breaking mechanism when two or more students have the same merit score. The TNEA random number is considered along with other criteria, such as subject-wise marks and date of birth, to determine the merit ranking of candidates.
