Try NowNEW DELHI: Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU), Hyderabad on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will be conducting TS EAMCET 2020 from July 6 to 9. Since the exam is round the corner and the total number of coronavirus cases are increasing in India, students and parents are quite worried about the safety. While speaking to The Hans India , TSCHE, Chairman, T Papi Reddy, said that the authorities will conduct the exam while ensuring that the COVID norms are strictly adhered to at each and every examination centre. About 25000 students are likely to take tests in two sessions everyday.
He further added that all the TS EAMCET 2020 exam centres will have sanitizers and thermal screening facilities. Students will be required to wear masks and carry their own water bottle along with the small bottle of sanitizer. Only one person will be allowed to accompany each candidate till 1000 meters of the test centre. Also, after the conclusion of the exam, students will not be allowed to gather in groups but will have to leave the examination centre one after the other.
The Hans India has reported that, as per the officials, about 1.45 lakh students have registered so far for engineering stream and 75000 candidates have applied for the agriculture and medical stream. The test will be conducted at 94 examination centres.
The application process of TS EAMCET 2020 is open till June 25 (with payment of additional Rs. 5000 as late fee) and till June 30 (with payment of additional Rs. 10,00 as late fee). Earlier, the candidates were able to register without a late fee till June 10, 2020. All the registered candidates will be able to access the TS EAMCET hall ticket from June 27.
