UGC asks colleges to hold special assemblies tomorrow to witness Chandrayaan-3 landing on moon

Landing of Chandrayan-3 on the moon will be broadcast live on DD National TV channel and ISRO's website, FB and YouTube pages from 5:27 pm.
NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked the colleges and universities to organise ‘special assemblies’ between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm tomorrow, August 23 and encourage the students and faculty to watch the live streaming of Chandrayan-3 landing on the moon.
The landing of India’s Chandrayan-3 on the moon will be broadcast live from 5:27 pm tomorrow and the live coverage will be available on the ISRO website -- isro.gov.in, ISRO's official YouTube channel -- ISRO Official, ISRO's Facebook page -- facebook.com/ISRO and DD National TV channel. The prime minister of India Narendra Modi will also join the nation in witnessing this momentous occasion.

Saying that the impending Chandrayaan-3 Mission, poised to achieve a landing on Moon tomorrow, UGC said that it will mark a significant step forward for Indian Science, Engineering, Technology, and Industry.

The landing of India's Chandrayaan-3 is a monumental occasion that will not only fuel curiosity but also spark a passion for exploration within the minds of our youth, UGC said adding that it will generate a profound sense of pride and unity as we collectively celebrate the prowess of Indian science and technology.
It will contribute to fostering an environment of scientific inquiry and innovation, UGC said.
