NEW DELHI: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has extended the last date for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2023 registration last date. Candidates who wish to pursue engineering courses offered by the institute will be able to submit applications till April 5, 2023, through the official website, viteee.vit.ac.in.
Applicants applying for UG engineering admission should have either completed the qualifying exam or should be appearing in 2023 to be eligible for the entrance exam.
Candidates are offered admission based on the rank secured through VITEEE 2023 computer-based test. Selected candidates will have to participate in online counselling based on their ranking. Those with rank up to 1 lakh are eligible for counselling to Vellore and Chennai campus, the official website read.
VITEEE 2023 eligibility
Applicants will have to check the VIT entrance exam eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
- The applicant should be a resident, non-resident Indian national, PIO, OCI.
- Foreign applicants who studied/studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form, which will be made available on the official website soon.
- Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2001, are eligible to apply for engineering admission 2023.
- Should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics or biology in the Class 12, intermediate or qualifying examination.
The institute has also uploaded the VITEEE 2023 syllabus at viteee.vit.ac.in. Candidates will be able to download subject-wise syllabus provided on the official website.
There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the sections - maths or biology will have 40 questions, 35 questions each under physics, chemistry and 10 questions under aptitude and 5 in English. The medium of question paper will be in English only.
