The CAT 2025 question paper contained 66 questions divided into three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). Examinees were given 40 minutes to attempt each section.
Aspirants found the CAT exam pattern 2025 same as last year, VARC section contained 24 questions with four reading comprehension (RC) passages. Arithmetic in quant was 'tricky', as per the candidates. DLRI was 'doable' and had questions on circle arrangement, round table with chairs, among others.
A candidate, Harshil, said that the CAT exam 2025 overall moderate to easy. Contrary to the public opinion, he found English and Quant easy. DILR was easy too. Quant section had more questions on arithmetic and algebra as compared to geometry. He reported no change in CAT 2025 exam pattern.

Another student Pragya found the CAT slot 1 paper easy but DILR was tough for her. Sets were hard compared to previous year, she said. Quant had the same difficulty level as last year but questions were lengthy. She is aiming for IIM Mumbai.
