Check NowNEW DELHI: For the Central Board of Secondary Examination’s (CBSE) Term 2 board exams 2021-22, the mathematics syllabus will cover five major units - Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Statistics and Probability.

CBSE Class 10 syllabus 2021-22 have been revised owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The syllabus has been divided almost equally into two sections for the two-term exams. The CBSE Term 2 examination is anticipated to be conducted by March-April 2022. The CBSE Term 1 question paper was multiple-choice questions (MCQ) type, whereas the CBSE term 2 question paper will be of subjective type.

While in the CBSE Term 1 exam, students were only given 90 minutes to finish the exam, the CBSE Term 2 exam duration will be 2 hours. The detailed list of topics of the Class 10 science syllabus for the term 2 exams is given below:

The weightage for the CBSE term 2 mathematics exam will be 40 marks. Apart from this, a 10 marks internal assessment will be conducted. The same marking scheme has been followed in the term 1 science exam too. Hence, the grand total marks will be 100.

- Unit 1 Algebra: Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progressions
- Unit 2 Geometry: Circles, Constructions
- Unit 3 Trigonometry: Some Applications of Trigonometry
- Unit 4 Mensuration: Surface Areas and Volumes
- Unit 5 Statistics and Probability: Statistics
Meanwhile, CBSE Schools Management Association (CSMA), a school teachers’ organisation in Tamil Nadu has requested the board to cancel the CBSE term 1 exams and not validate the marks. It has written to the board regarding the "loopholes and consequent malpractice and technical issues causing prejudice in CBSE Class 10, 12 terms 1 exam 2021".
