CBSE FAQs for policy for the tabulation of marks:
Q: If a school has sponsored the students only in 2020, which year will be taken as a reference year by the schools?
A: The year 2020 will be taken as a reference year.
Q: Where will the broad distribution of marks obtained by the students of the school, subject-wise, be made available to the school by the Board.
A: The broad distribution of marks obtained by the students of the school, subject-wise, will be made available to the school by the Board in the school login account on the Boards website.
Q: In a school, there are 7-8 students who have seven subjects. IT as the 6th subject and Hindi as the 7th Subject. Will the marks of additional Hindi be calculated the same as IT?
A: As per policy, means of the best 3 awarded marks be given in 6th and 7th subject irrespective of Hindi, IT, or any other subject.
Q: How to calculate the marks of a subject whose maximum marks are 50. However, CBSE has provided average marks of the subjects having maximum marks as 80.
A: Say a student has secured 56 marks out of 80. Now we have to calculate the marks of a subject having maximum marks as 50. So, marks would be= 56X50=2800/80=35.
Q: Can the reference year be different for all main five subjects or it will remain the same?
A: Reference year for the average of the subjects as well as per overall average has to be the same only. Thus, schools have to use only one year as a year of reference.
Earlier, the CBSE board released a set of FAQs regarding the evaluation process for Class 10 result 2021. These FAQs were released after teachers raised concerns over the latest released marking scheme to calculate the score of CBSE Class 10 students.
