The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Chemistry exam between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Saying that the chemistry paper was a balanced one with moderate difficulty level, DPS Indirapuram’s Ajay Verma PGT Chemistry said: “The MCQs were quite direct. The level of questions was similar to the previous years and the pattern was in accordance with the CBSE sample paper.”
“Most questions were based on NCERT and students who have revised the NCERT pattern thoroughly would solve the paper well,” he added.
Terming the Chemistry paper as 'well-balanced', Chemistry HOD, VIBGYOR High, Electronic City, Bengaluru, Manoj Phillipose said: "Students were able to finish the paper in the allocated time of three hours. The difficulty level was average to moderate. For some students in Set 2 numerical from chemical kinetics were little lengthy. Set 1 and Set 3 papers were comparatively easier."
Analysing the questions as straightforward, DPS Raj Nagar Extension Bharat Kumar, PGT Chemistry said: “The question paper was quite average for almost all the students. MCQ's in the sets were different but the theoretical questions were mostly same.”
The passage-based questions, Kumar added, were easy to guess and students managed their time better as the paper was not lengthy. Overall it was a good paper with balanced elements from all the sections, he added.
According to MRG School, Ruchi Gupta, PGT chemistry, the difficulty level of the Chemistry paper of Class 12th was high. “The questions asked in the Exam paper were tricky, although they were from the NCERT course,” she added.
