CUET UG 2023 registration soon; Key points on paper pattern, exam dates

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start the registration process for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2023). All eligible and interested candidates will be able to fill out the CUET UG application form 2023 through the official website. Earlier the testing agency announced to commence the CUET UG registrations in the first week of February 2023.

The CUET UG 2023 is set to be held as computer based test (CBT) between May 21 and May 31, 2023. The CUET UG 2023 paper format will remain the same as last year and the exam will be held in 13 languages- Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telegu and Urdu.

Alike last year, this year also the number of subjects and pattern of question papers will remain the same. The candidates will be able to choose as many as six domain subjects in addition to one or two languages and the General test. NTA will declare the CUET UG results in the third week of June 2023.

CUET UG Exam Pattern

The CUET question paper will comprise of three sections- Section 1(A and B), Section 2 and Section 3. While section 1 (A) will be a language paper to be held in 13 Languages and students were asked to select any one of these 13 languages, the section 1(B) will consist of 19 Languages and candidates were asked to choose any one of these languages to attempt the paper.

Section 2 in CUET UG question paper will be a domain-specific and will base on 27 subjects. Candidates will have to choose a maximum of Six Domains as desired by the applicable University or Universities. Section 2 is generally comprised of questions based on NCERT Class 12 syllabus and consisted of MCQ based questions.

Section 3 of the CUET UG question paper will be a General test that consisted questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability and others. Candidates will have to answer 60 MCQs out of a total of 75 MCQs.
