CUSAT postpones all but final semester exams due to food poisoning
CUSAT university administration informed the students that the revised exam schedule will be announced later.

NEW DELHI: The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) located in Kerala announced on Monday that all university exams except the final semester exams scheduled between May 24 and 31 have been postponed. CUSAT has not yet released the revised dates.
The university informed the students that the revised exam schedule will be announced later. "It is hereby notified that all University Examinations except the final semester examinations scheduled to be held from 24.05.2022 to 31.05.2022 stands postponed. The revised date of examinations will be announced later," said the notification from CUSAT.

CUSAT has not given any official reason behind the postponement of the exams. A report by New Indian Express says that the postponement is due to food poisoning on the campus. As per the report, as many as 130 students were admitted to hospitals. The students had complained that they were having uneasiness, vomiting and fever. The CUSAT administration has shut the hostels and suspended offline classes too. It was also reported that there are a few COVID-19 positive cases on the campus.
Students started showing food poisoning symptoms and symptoms of Covid after the CUSAT youth festival which lasted for three days.
