Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) will affiliate 30 government schools in 2021-22 session.
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) will launch in August with 30 affiliated schools including 10 Sarvodaya Vidyalayas and 20 Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSEs). The SoSEs will launch by August 15 and admit students for the 2021-22 session.
The Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) will have four domains - science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); humanities; performing and visual arts and high-end 21st-century skills.
In the first phase, eight schools will specialise in STEM, five in humanities and high-end 21st-century skills, and two in performing and visual arts. Admission for Classes 9 and 11 in STEM schools and Class 9 in the other three SoSE domains will begin shortly, said education minister Manish Sisodia in a general body meeting of the Schools of Specialized Excellence Society and the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) today.
