IGNOU extends last date for registrations in UG, PG programmes in online and ODL modes again. Candidates can apply till November 15 at ignou.ac.in
NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for IGNOU July 2022 cycle fresh admissions once again. Candidates interested in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in either the online or ODL mode can register at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in till November 11, 2022.
Admission in all UG and PG programmes except certificate and semester-based courses are available. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for respective courses on the official website before filling the IGNOU registration form 2022.
The university states that the facility for fee exemption that is solely available for schedule caste and schedule tribe students can be claimed only for one programme under university rules. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming the fee exemptions, IGNOU will reject all the applications.

Once the applicant fills the IGNOU application form, they are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee through online payments modes like net banking, debit or credit cards. According to IGNOU's admission policy, the refund for the admission and registration fee will only be considered if the request is submitted before the last date of registration, i.e November 15, 2022.
IGNOU's policy for cancellation of admission and refund of fee
Even if the request for a refund is submitted before the deadline, the candidate will only receive the amount paid for admission and not the non-refundable registration fee. The official IGNOU admission portal states that If the candidate applies for a refund within 15 days after the last date for submission of admission form, the fee paid will be refunded after the deduction of Rs 500.
In case of a refund request within 30 days after the last date for submission of admission form, the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs 1,000. However, if the candidate applies for cancellation of admission and refund of fee after 30 days from the last date, no refund will be allowed.
