IIIT Bangalore introduces PG Diploma in Digital Product Design and Management; eligibility
IIIT Bangalore PGD-DPDM Program: The registration deadline is April 30.

NEW DELHI: The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-Bangalore) has launched a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Digital Product Design and Management (PGD-DPDM) for the academic year 2024-25. The programme is designed to provide students with skills in digital product creation and management by combining engineering and social science disciplines.
Students who complete the PG Diploma programme are eligible for direct admission to IIIT-Bangalore's Master of Science (by Research) program in the Digital Society research domain. Their eligibility for admission to the Master of Science (by Research) program will be evaluated by an internal committee, taking into account their performance in the PG Diploma.
Debabrata Das, director, IIIT-Bangalore, said, "We are excited to introduce the PGD-DPDM programme, building upon IIIT-Bangalore's legacy of delivering interdisciplinary excellence. This initiative aims to nurture a profound understanding of the evolving landscape of digital technologies and their impact on society."
Eligibility requirements
Candidates holding a bachelor's degree from any accredited university, regardless of their field of study (including arts, science, commerce, design, management, law, or engineering), are eligible to apply.
IIIT Bangalore PGD-DPDM Program: Curriculum overview
The program will begin in July 2024 and will run for 12 months, requiring full-time engagement on campus. The curriculum is structured into two semesters, incorporating core courses such as data analysis and visualization, information economics and product finance, innovation and design thinking, software models and design patterns, software product management, as well as user research and user experience.
The program kicks off with a four-week Program Orientation in July 2024, aimed at improving comprehension, writing, and communication skills, as well as preparing students for the curriculum's challenges and teaching methods.
