IIIT Vadodara launches online BSc courses in data science and analytics, computer science, AI and ML

The programmes will be run online through interactive live sessions, aim to prepare students for the ‘rapidly growing’ IT sector.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara has collaborated with TeamLease EdTech to launch three online Bachelor of Science (BSc) programmes — BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Data Science and Analytics, and BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. These courses aim to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in India’s rapidly growing technology sector.
The Indian digital economy is expected to surpass 1 trillion dollars by 2025, further highlighting the need for skilled software engineers, data analysts, and AI specialists . As per the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2023, data analysts and AI specialists are among the fastest-growing job roles globally.
Additionally, according to the NASSCOM report India’s technology sector is expected to create over 1.5 million new jobs by 2026, underscoring the urgent need for skilled professionals.
Speaking on the launch, Dharmendra Singh, director, IIIT Vadodara, said "These new online BSc programmes will empower students with current and future-ready skills and open doors to high-growth career opportunities in India's digital economy."

BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Designed for aspiring AI researchers and developers, this program focuses upon deep learning, neural networks, and intelligent automation.
These programmes will be delivered online through interactive live sessions, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for students across the country. The curriculum has been designed in consultation with industry experts and includes hands-on exposure to industry-standard tools, real-world case studies, and projects.
