IIT Kanpur's C3iHub to launch skilling programme to train learners for cyber security

The IIT Kanpur cybersecurity hub, named C3iHub will launch the programme on April 26, which will be free-of-cost for SC and ST students.
NEW DELHI : The cybersecurity technology and innovation hub of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is about to launch a cybersecurity skilling programme to train learners for cybersecurity. The programme will be launched by the hub at the institute, named C3iHub, on April 26, 2023, in which chairperson of National commission for Scheduled castes, Vijay Sampla will be the chief guest. The department of Science and Technology of the government of India will be extending support to the programme.
A statement from the institute said that the programme aims to provide learners with insights on technical basics of cyberspace and cyber issues, introduce real time cybersecurity techniques and methods and focus on models, tools and techniques for enforcing security.
Officials at the institute said that the cybersecurity skilling programme is a good opportunity for the students, professionals and anyone interested in learning about cybersecurity to gain knowledge and expertise in this rapidly growing and changing field. The programme will be free-of-cost for the Scheduled caste (SC) and Scheduled tribes (ST) students, they said.

Project director at C3iHub, Manindra Agrawal said: "The launch of this cybersecurity skilling programme will pave the way for the immersive learning of the students, professionals and enthusiasts. We have tried to cover the crucial aspects of cybersecurity in the programme comprehensively and are hopeful that it will help build a robust workforce".
