IIT Ropar launches Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for 12th pass candidates of Punjab
IIT Ropar has launched an online programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Class 12 pass candidates.

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar has introduced an online course in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for all aspiring candidates who have passed Class 12 in Punjab. The course has been introduced by IIT, Ropar jointly with Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM), Government of Punjab.
The course has been designed to help the youth of Punjab to upgrade their skills. Under this programme of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, two courses are being offered namely L-2 course and L-3 course which are of four weeks and twelve weeks duration respectively.
Who all can apply?
This initiative by IIT Ropar has been started by the Government of Punjab for all candidates who have passed Class 12 with mathematics as one of the subjects.
How to apply for the course?
To apply for the course, candidates must visit the official website of the Institute and enroll for the course. Along with it, candidates must also appear and pass an online A-DSAT exam which is expected to be conducted in July 2021 in online mode. Candidates will receive a link for appearing in the examination on the allotted day on their registered email ID. Having qualified for the exam, candidates will be eligible for the L-2 course of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. After the successful completion of the L-2 course, candidates will be granted admission in the L-3 course.
About the course
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is an online programme that is being offered by IIT Ropar. The programme comprises two courses, L-2 and L-3. Candidates can get admission in L-3 course only after completing L-2. The L-2 course comprises subjects like computer vision, natural language processing, and others while the L-3 course will help to build confidence and develop experience in tackling real-world problems with case studies and helps in understanding how to manage real-world AI.
