Try NowNEW DELHI: Amid continuous demands to postpone Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE Main 2023), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2023), child rights activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai opined that the government is “experimenting with board exam students”.

Stating that the need of the hour is a proper planning of academic sessions from KG to postgraduate (PG), she said that it will take 2-3 years to return to normalcy.
Asking the government to address the requests of students, she added that the school, college and JEE, NEET 2023 aspirants are equally struggling due to a delay in academic session.
“We are experimenting with board students that too during COVID-19. We are experimenting with aspirants that too. All this needs proper planning and implementation but the same is not happening,” she tweeted.
Tagging Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, she said, “At least interact with them you will understand what all they are going through.” Requesting Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan to hold an interactive session with the students to know about the problems faced by them, child rights activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai said that the delay in counselling and admission caused due to COVID-19 has impacted education sector.

Further, she informed JEE Main 2023 aspirants that the 75% eligibility criteria, one more attempt for 2021 aspirants will be taken up in February.
Anubha Srivastava Sahai had filed a petition on January 4 before Bombay High Court seeking postponement of JEE Main 2023 first attempt due to clash with board exams 2023. However, the court refused to postpone and said “any orders passed to postpone may have a cascading effect”.
