Check NowNEW DELHI : The Karnataka High Court has dismissed the plea seeking the cancellation of Class 10 SSLC exams. The HC has given a nod to Karnataka Board for holding the Class 10 exam as per the scheduled dates.
A division bench of Justice B V Nagarathna and Justice Hanchate Sanjeev Kumar observed that the state government has taken adequate precautionary measures against the COVID-19 pandemic to conduct the exam, reported LiveLaw.
This year, the SSLC exams 2021 will be held in a multiple-choice questions (MCQ) format. The court has observed that no student will be forced to attend the exams either by the state or parents. The court has also informed that last year guidelines should be incorporated into the SOP for this year also. Last year, the court had dismissed a similar PIL and allowed the state to conduct the SSLC exams with strict COVID-19 guidelines.
Recently, Karnataka PUC 2nd examinations could not be conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The board decided to declare the results 2021 for 2nd PUC students by considering their past performance in the last qualifying exams.
