LPU introduces new online programmes, BBA and MSc in Economics
LPU Admissions: Interested students can apply for the newly introduced online programmes by November 10, 2024.

NEW DELHI : The Lovely Professional University (LPU) has recently announced two new online programmes bachelor of business administration (BBA) and master of science (MSc) in economics. Interested students can apply for the programme before the last date, November 10, 2024.
These two programmes are an addition to the existing online programmes offered by LPU under the University of Grants Commission (UGC). The programmes are entitled under the MBA category having nine specializations, MCA with five specializations, MSc Mathematics, MCom, MA in English, MA in Political Science, MA History, MA in Sociology, BCA, and BA.
Recently, LPU was ranked at 27th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 having an NAAC A++ score of 3.68.
As per the LPU statement, UGC also granted the status of category 1 university with a grant of graded autonomy to LPU making it a top institution in India.

About LPU’s online programmes
The online programmes offered by LPU equip students with academic and professional knowledge and skills related to the respective disciplines. The programme also prepares students to be job-ready through its specially designed Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) and provides various placement opportunities to them in the form of frequent placement and paid internship drives by prominent recruiters.
LPU’s recent placement drive
LPU recently organized a successful placement drive at its campus for LPU online and distance education students in collaboration with Aggarwal Toughened and Safety Glass, Bathinda, and their sister company, Aspire Solutions with a package offering up to 5.5 lakhs per annum.
The placement drive was attended by MBA students, with 12 students reaching the group discussion (GD) and 9 reaching the personal interview (PI) rounds. Additionally, four students who opted for the online mode and one student having distance education mode finally got the offer letters suiting their skills and experience.
The names of the students include Shama Fatima from Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh); Simerpreet Kaur from Yamunanagar (Haryana); Gaurav Sadotra from Barnala; Ankush Rawal from Ludhiana – all from LPU online programmes and LPU distance education student Jai Madaan from Jalandhar, adds the LPU statement.
