NCERT, education ministry invite ideas, suggestions for National Curriculum Framework

NEW DELHI: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has invited suggestions from teachers, students and parents for formulation of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).

Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for Foundational Stage 2022 and Balvatika on October 20, 2022. According to the NCF mandate document released on April 29, 2022, the curriculum framework aims to develop the education system in India by implementing National Education Policy (NEP 2020) across schools in the country.

The education ministry had earlier informed that the NCERT has initiated the processes of development of National Curriculum Frameworks using a bottom-up approach where in states and union territories (UTs) will be providing their inputs drawing from gross root levels.

The NCERT said it is conducting the Digital Survey for National Curriculum (DiSaNK), the process of making National Curriculum Framework (NCF), using paperless and vertical, bottom up approach.

“The ministry of education and NCERT invite all stakeholders like parents, teachers, coaches, students, community etc. to participate in this massive and intensive public consultation process and contribute to the formulation of National Curriculum Framework (NCF),” it said.

The NCERT digital survey survey is available in 23 languages. “Please spare only 10 minutes of your valuable time, take the survey yourself and do not forget to share the link of the survey with all your e-groups and friends for wide dissemination and participation,” NCERT said in its official Twitter handle.

The NCERT has launched a website, ncfsurvey.ncert.gov.in, for teachers, students, parents and other stakeholders to participate in the survey. They will also be able to take part in the survey by downloading the DiSaNC app from Google Play.
