Use NowNEW DELHI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) postgraduate 2022 exam will not be postponed, and will be conducted on May 21 as per the schedule, sources in the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) told Careers360 . The dates were confirmed in a meeting held on April 30, where Mansukh Mandaviya, the union health minister, was also present.
Many aspirants had urged for the postponement of the NEET PG 2022 exam date due to the delay in NEET PG 2021 counselling, and less gap between entrance exams and counselling. Aspirants also said that conducting the NEET PG 2022 exam on May 21 would make many medical interns ineligible to appear for the exams. But the exams are not likely to be postponed as per the sources in the ministry.
Recently, the All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) had written a letter to Mandaviya requesting to postpone the NEET PG 2022 exam and NEET MDS 2022 by 8 to 10 weeks. The NEET PG 2021 counselling is scheduled to end by May 3.

According to aspirants, there is very less time between NEET PG 2022 exam date and NEET PG 2021 counselling mop-up round. Hence, the students do not get enough time for preparation which leads to stress. Those who couldn't acquire seats in NEET PG 2021 counselling, those who didn’t register for NEET PG 2022 exam, and those who lost seats due to mop-up round counselling cancellation require more time for registration and preparation, AIIMSA had pointed out.
