To ensure a peaceful environment for NEET re-exam candidates, the Dehradun district administration has banned public gatherings and noise near exam centres on June 21, officials said. According to a PTI report, acting on a directive from the NTA Director General, ADM Krishna Kumar Mishra has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS within a 200-metre radius of 16 exam centres across Dehradun.

The AIDSO has criticised the Centre over the NEET-UG paper leak case, alleging that medical students are being wrongly blamed. It also opposed an NMC notice linked to the re-exam and demanded its withdrawal. The student body urged the government to take responsibility for the issue.

The Chakradharpur (CKP) division of South Eastern Railway will run a special train between Rourkela and Tatanagar on June 21 to help students appearing for the NEET 2026 exam, an official said. Train number 68044 will leave Rourkela at 5:10 am on June 21 and reach Tatanagar at 9:20 am. The railway said the service has been arranged for the convenience of NEET candidates appearing for the exam.

Before the NEET re-examination on June 21, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a mock drill on June 20, 2026 to ensure the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of the test.

A special POCSO court in Mumbai has granted four-day temporary bail to an 18-year-old accused in a rape case to appear for the NEET UG 2026 re-test on June 21, PTI reported. The court granted relief after the survivor said she had no objection, subject to conditions. He was released on a bond of Rs 50,000. The prosecution opposed the plea, but the court said there were valid grounds to allow the candidate to take the medical entrance examination, PTI reported.

According to the ANI reports, the Delhi High Court has dismissed Telegram’s plea challenging the Centre’s temporary ban imposed in view of the NEET re-exam 2026, granting no relief to the social media platform. Justice Tejas Karia upheld the government’s decision to block Telegram till June 22, rejecting the plea against the order issued under Section 69A of the IT Act.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta on June 18 announced cooling zones for parents and family members of NEET aspirants.

The accused, Navin Kumar Shankar Prasad Yadav, reportedly accessed the NEET refund portal using stolen login credentials and changed bank details of eligible candidates.

Bihar Police have arrested four people in Muzaffarpur for allegedly selling fake question papers of various exams, including NEET-UG, to aspirants and their parents. The accused—Harsh, Aman Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar and Harsh Kanodiya—were arrested on Saturday, and three mobile phones were seized from them. 

According to police, the group used social media platforms to lure candidates by falsely claiming access to exam papers. They collected money through online transfers and allegedly passed the funds to Manish Jha, who was arrested earlier on June 2 in connection with the same racket.

According to ANI reports, on Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's proposed protest in Kota, BJP MP Trivedi said:  "I want to ask them: in the last 72 hours before the exam, when any candidate should be preparing for the final stage with complete concentration, why are you trying to mentally torture students by organising such events... There will be many opportunities for politics, it can be done even after the 21st... You want to create destruction just in order to fulfil your political ambition."

Telegram has approached the Delhi High Court challenging the Central government's decision to temporarily ban the platform ahead of the NEET UG re-test 2026. The matter was mentioned before Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, who agreed to hear it today.

The Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister M Ramprasad Reddy said that APSRTC buses will offer free rides to students appearing for the re-NEET exam on June 21. The minister added that students can show their exam hall ticket to avail the free bus journey to the exam centre.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke met the family members of NEET UG aspirant Akanksha Chaturvedi, who died by suicide in Nagpur last month allegedly due to depression caused by the cancellation of the NEET medical entrance exam. Dipke was in Nagpur for the CJP's protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over last month's NEET (UG) paper leak issue. While addressing the gathering during the protest, Dipke demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore for her family.
