Study Abroad: University of Massachusetts Global launches online MBA for Indian professionals
Candidates can apply for the online MBA programme of UMass Global till January 29 on the official website, international.umassglobal.edu.

NEW DELHI: The University of Massachusetts Global (UMass Global) has launched the online MBA programme in India for professionals. Candidates can apply for the UMass Global’s online programme till January 29 through the official website, international.umassglobal.edu. The program is set to begin on February 19.
Candidates applying for the programme should have a bachelor’s degree with a 2.75 GPA (equivalent to more than 45%) or a valid master’s degree. The applicants have to be a citizen and resident of India. Students will have to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3 (overall grade of B) or higher for clearing the 18-month online MBA programme.
Programme fee
Students will have to pay a fee of Rs 3,32,000, excluding the goods and services tax. The fee can be paid in five instalments. The first instalment of Rs 16,600 has to be paid immediately during the application process. Candidates will have to upload colour scanned copies of the degree certificate and consolidated marks transcript of Class 10, 12 and bachelor’s degree. They will also have to upload first two pages of an the passport, Aadhar card or PAN card.
Candidates clearing the online MBA programme will get the alumni status of the UMass Global. The institute said as per the Wheebox India Skills Report 2023, the MBA is expected to be among the most popular degrees in 2023, with 60.1 percent of the most employable talent. “India stands among the top 10 nations, according to the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), for students actively pursuing MBA and equivalent programs. This statistic underscores the global significance of India's contribution to the realm of business education,” the report added.
It added that the MBA graduates earn 77% more than their counterparts with only a bachelor's degree according to the Graduate Management Admission Council’s Corporate Recruiters Survey.
MBA online programme: Salient feature
The programme has been tailored for early-to mid-career professionals. The programme fosters cognitive skills crucial for navigating regulatory, ethical, and social landscapes. It empowers decision-making and critical thinking while instilling agile thinking across business and technical domains, the institute said.
