UP PGT 2025 exam postponed again due to unavoidable reasons, says board

UPSESSB: The board will soon announce fresh dates for the UP PGT 2025 exam.
Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPSESSB) has postponed the written exam for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) 2025 again due to unavoidable reasons. The new dates for the exam will be announced soon, says the board.
Earlier, the UP PGT 2025 exam was scheduled to be held on October 15 and 16. However, the board has postponed the UP PGT exam several times to a later date.
UP PGT recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 4,163 teaching posts across the state. Of those, 3,213 vacancies are for TGT male and 326 for TGT female candidates, while 549 posts are reserved for PGT male and 75 for PGT female candidates.
“This is to inform all concerned that the written examination for Advertisement No.-02/2022 Lecturer (P.G.T.) scheduled for October 15 and 16, 2025, is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The date of the examination will be announced separately,” the official board notice said.

As per the schedule, the UP TGT exam 2025 will be held on December 18 and 19, and the UPTET exam will be held on January 29 and 30.
A user on X raised a question on the board regarding the exam schedule and said: "What's happening, brother, regarding the TGT PGT EXAM in UP? What is the government's intention, unable to conduct an exam from 2022 till now?"
"The UP PGT exam scheduled for 15 and 16 October 2025 has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. In the BJP government, if anyone has been pushed to the margins the most, it's the students," another user posted on X.
