NEW DELHI : The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025 is due for tomorrow, January 5, 2025. A relaxed and focused mind is what the toppers advise candidates appearing for the MBA entrance exam. For the exam day, the pro tip is not to get engrossed in a particular section and divide the time wisely.

Most of the XAT toppers found the decision-making section crucial and aced it with their XAT preparation through mock tests and previous years’ question papers.
XAT exam 2025 will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. XAT 2025 question paper will consist of four sections divided into two parts. Part 1 will comprise three sections including verbal ability and logical reasoning (VA and LR), decision-making (DM), quantitative aptitude and data interpretation (QA and DI). Part 2 will include one section on general knowledge (GK).
XAT admit card 2025 is available for download on the official website, xatonline.in. 1.42 lakh candidates will write the exam this year.
XAT 2025: Last-minute preparation tips
XAT toppers shared the following strategies to score the maximum marks in XAT 2025 exam:
- Focus on strengths: The toppers advise students to focus on their strong areas and try to achieve the maximum scores in those sections. Don’t get caught up in an area. Read thoroughly and concentrate on the section which will get you the most marks.
- Conceptual understanding: For weaker sections, they suggest working on the fundamentals and building the foundation. For example, a XAT topper who was weak in mathematics studied enough to ensure to clear the minimum cut-off in that section.
- Revision: The XAT top rankers took as many mock tests as they could during their XAT exam preparation. Students are advised to have an efficient approach to the test.
- Learn time management: For achieving 100 percentile in XAT, the toppers solved the XAT previous year question papers . The previous years’ papers help develop strategy for the actual test day on how to approach each section and how to divide 180 minutes.
- Relax and unwind : Most of the aspirants take pressure due to external environment or other reasons. A day or two before the exam, just relax and do what makes you happy.
- Be consistent: Consistency and an active mind was the key, a topper said, to overcome the challenges in the XAT exam.
- Take care of mental health: Students have been asked to dedicate quality preparation more than quantity. Keep yourself physically active and get a decent amount of sleep.

- Decision-making : In decision making, the answer should come from inside. Look at the questions asked in the DM section in the XAT previous year question papers.
- VA and LR : The Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning sections require one to be very comfortable with reading and comprehending English. Read newspapers and use online journalism to help prepare for these sections.
XAT 2025: Things to keep in mind
A XAT topper gave the following three advices for the XAT exam 2025 :
- Look at the problem very holistically. Try to view it from the perspective of various stakeholders
- Stay away from your biases. Focus on the problem at hand.
- Try to practice ethical decision-making. XAT exam tests you on your ethical and integral aspects of your understanding of the problem.
