NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the detailed notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) today, May 20. As per the notification, the IAF AFCAT 2024 application process will begin on May 30. Interested candidates will be able to apply for IAF AFCAT 2024 through the official websites, careerindianairforce.cdac.in and afcat.cdac.in.
Candidates will be able to register for AFCAT 2024 exam though the official website till June 28. AFCAT notification pdf comprises details related to the number of vacancies, exam dates, admit card date, eligibility and other details.
The NCC Special Entry Candidates are exempted from the written test. They will be directly called for the AFSB. The AFCET 2024 selection process includes the following stages:
- Stage-1: Written Exam
- Stage-2: Air Force Selection Board (AFSB)
- Stage-3: Final Merit List
Candidates choosing the Ground Duty (Technical) branch are required to take both the AFCAT and the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
AFCAT 2024 exam pattern
The AFCAT exam consists of four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test, with a duration of two hours. This test includes 100 questions and is worth 300 marks. The EKT exam lasts for 45 minutes and includes questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics, with total 50 questions and maximum 150 marks.
AFCAT 2024 marking scheme
The AFCAT 2024 marking scheme is as follows:
- Three marks are awarded for each correct answer.
- One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No marks are given for unanswered questions.
