Check NowNEW DELHI : The All India Democratic Students' Organisation (AIDSO), Karnataka State Committee, has condemned the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board’s (KSEAB) decision to prepare and provide SSLC Class 10 question paper for mid-term exams. The students’ organisation called it a “sudden and undemocratic” announcement that was made just a few days before the examination.
The AIDSO Karnataka state committee opined that any changes in education should be made at the beginning of the academic session. “The decision on who should prepare the question papers for the mid-term exams should also be made at the beginning of the academic year,” it said.
“Even if the exams are conducted at the school level, the question papers from the board will put additional pressure on the students who are already stressed… The current Karnataka government should stop making such undemocratic and unilateral decisions without consulting students, teachers, and experts in the middle of the academic year,” it added.

The students’ organisation further demanded the KSEAB board to immediately stop preparing question papers and allow schools to prepare their own question papers.
This year, the overall pass percentage of 73.40% was recorded, as per Hindustan Times. A total of 8,59,967 students appeared out of which 6,31,204 students cleared the exam.
