CBSE launches action research programme for teachers

CBSE: The last date to apply for the CBSE “Learning from Practitioners” programme is August 31, 2022.
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the “Learning from Practitioners” programme providing an opportunity for teachers to undertake action research. Under the initiative, CBSE-affiliated school teachers can apply to share their work. The board aims to select and support the best innovations by providing grants and support with a network of mentorship. The last date to apply is August 31, 2022. Interested individuals can submit their proposals at https://forms.gle/jkeLMTbam1Ho8Gmr8.
CBSE expects the applicants to have researched about challenges of practice in education. Those who get selected will receive a grant of Rs 25,000 in three instalments in one year for documenting evidence and scaling the programme. They will also get mentorship from a network of practitioners. There will be two rounds in the selection procedure, after which, 25 finalists will be selected.

CBSE Learning from Practitioners programme eligibility criteria
Candidates should meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the CBSE programme.
- All faculty and staff of CBSE-affiliated schools can apply. A group of a maximum of four people can also apply.
- Proposals that address the subject level, grade-learning stage, school and governance level, community, and teacher training are eligible to be considered for the programme.
- More preference is given to proposals that are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
- The applicant should apply for their own project, they cannot be nominated by someone else for the grant.
