According to the CLAT paper analysis, the paper was moderate. The English section was the easiest, while logical reasoning was found to be the most challenging section. Most of the questions were based on legal reasoning topics.
The CLAT question paper consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. As per the CLAT marking scheme, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
For CLAT 2026, given the overall difficulty level, attempting around 105 questions would be considered good, provided candidates maintain high accuracy to minimise negative marking. The exact number may vary depending on the individual's strength in different sections.

CLAT 2026: Student’s reaction or feedback
In the CLAT 2026 exam , the English section was easy, but it had long questions and many 'vocabulary problems', and the quant section had tricky but manageable questions, one of the CLAT test takers said. He noted that some questions of legal reasoning were a bit confusing.
Another student said that the Quant section was the toughest and longest among the other sections. In terms of complexity, the questions were moderate. The arithmetic was challenging. There were some unexpected themes, and the current affairs were mediocre.

As of now, there is no confirmation regarding the CLAT 2026 answer key date. However, going by past trends, the CLAT answer key is expected to be released one or two days after the exam. The CLAT provisional answer key will be published online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
