Earlier, after the first mock test, many students raised doubts over the test format and demanded changes to the interface. The conducting body, in a response to the queries, assured that the mock tests are being carried out to familiarize students with the online mode of conduct.
CLAT mock tests: Issues resolved
The revised format of online test addresses some of the concerns raised by the students. Some of the important features of the present mock tests are explained below.
Sectional navigation is enabled in new format
The new test format allows the candidates to switch across the five sections of the test. Thus, the students can now prioritise which section they want to answer first.
Option to revisit sections is open
The students will also be able to revisit any question or section of the test. This feature will allow the candidates to access the answers marked for review. The previous version of the test did not allow the candidates to access the questions marked for review of attempted sections.
Zoom in, Zoom out and Calculator
The test also gives the students an option to zoom in and zoom out in the system. This may help the candidates in adjusting the size of words and characters. The system interface is also equipped with a normal calculator where simple calculations can be done.
Sectional distribution of questions and marking scheme
The CLAT UG test comprises five sections. Each section consists of comprehension passages followed by a series of multiple-choice type questions. Each question will carry one mark, while there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for incorrect answers.
