NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Human Resource Development has sought suggestions from parents regarding the reopening of schools in the near future amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The ministry wants the parents' opinion on whether to open schools in August, September or October 2020.
Education secretaries of all union territories and states have been directed to submit the suggestions from parents by Monday.
To ensure the health and safety of students, MHRD is also asking for parents’ expectations from school “as and when they reopen”.
Any other form of feedback or suggestion with respect to school reopening can also be submitted to the MHRD. The education secretaries will be required to furnish the parents’ feedback via email to MHRD.
