NEW DELHI:
Gujarat based Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) Naidad has cancelled the examination schedule and has decided to promote the students of the intermediate semester based on their past performance. The university had earlier announced it would conduct pen-and-paper examinations for all courses from June 27.
After facing stiff criticism from students and teachers, DDU Nadiad has issued a circular stating that the examinations proposed to be conducted in June and July have been dropped for now. The regular external examination for the intermediate semester will not be conducted as per the guidelines of the state government, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The university's new notice says that the end semester performance for the intermediate semester will be finalised in accordance with the Gujarat government guidelines.
