IIIT Hyderabad to hold PG entrance exam on April 19 for MTech, MS, PhD; apply before March 26

NEW DELHI : The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad will start the application process for the Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) 2025 exam today, February 12. The PGEE 2025 exam is held for MTech, MS, and PhD courses. As per the latest update, eligible candidates can apply for the courses through official website, pgadmissions.iiit.ac.in.
The last date for the IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2025 application is March 26. Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 3,000 to apply for the PGEE 2025 exam.
The PGEE 2025 entrance exam will be held on April 19 from 2 pm to 5 pm. The admit card will be issued 10 days before the exam date.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2025 need to appear for computer based test, which will be held across multiple exam centres. Candidates can check the list of exam centres available on the the IIIT Hyderabad website.
Candidates will be admitted to the MTech programmes solely based on the written exam involving general aptitude and subject tests. The applicants for MS and PhD will have to appear for campus interview being held from June 10 to 13, 2025.

PGEE 2025 exam pattern
The PGEE 2025 entrance exam will consist of general paper and subject paper both for 90 minutes of duration. There will be a negative marking of 25% for all the wrong answers in both papers. The general aptitude test will focus on basic aptitude, logical reasoning and questions based on computers and mathematics. Candidates will have the option to choose their subjects papers based on their graduation discipline including computer science engineering (CSE) , electronics and communication engineering (ECE) and civil engineering .
